My personalized practice is based on the principle that the single most important person in health care is the patient. This may seem self-evident, but it is often forgotten in our current system.
Patients deserve a provider who listens, engages, informs and provides solutions. I want to be that provider for my patients. Continued changes in the healthcare landscape have made access to quality, compassionate health care increasingly unattainable.
Traditional primary care providers are responsible for the care of thousands of patients. Care is hurried, uncoordinated, illness-focused and prone to medical errors. Unnecessary and redundant testing is done because of a lack of time to spend with patients. Prevention and wellness if too often an afterthought. My personalized practice will be limited to a few hundred. Visits will be designed around your needs not by time constraints.
A growing body of research is showing that personalized care in smaller practices can result in decreased preventable hospital use and scores higher on conventional measures such as:
fewer emergency department visits
fewer specialist visits
fewer surgeries than similar populations
I have chosen to pursue a personalized practice model that enables me to provide unhurried, comprehensive care for my patients on their terms, when they need it, compassionately and cost effectively. In today’s nonstop information overload, it is even more critical to find appropriate, value-added, diagnostic and treatment solutions. My personalized membership practice is centered on four principles: My sincere goal is that my patients can say “My doctor knows me”. “My doctor is knowledgeable”. “My doctor talks to me about the latest information in health care that is relevant to me”. “I trust my doctor”.
